Customer Review: Good for you and your friends
These books are extremely interesting, but are not meant to be read alone. They are, in fact, the rulebooks for the Dungeons & Dragons game, which is best played with five or six people. If you don't have that many friends, look into stores where you can meet up with new people and play.

Customer Review: son loves it
i bought this after my 3 1/2 year old kept eyeing a neighbor on his ripskate. my son loves it. he is so willing to put on his helmet and pads. we take it for a ride to the park. and i can easily hook the handle bar over my umbrella stroller if he chooses to walk instead. the same neighbor gave us their old skateboard with a steering handle. my son still prefers his radio flyer. it has good steering and a wide base for him. someone remarked about its tipability. no problem. my son's taken a few falls--all within my watchful eyes. but the knee/elbow pads have always protected him. then it quickly got to a point where he would fall on purpose to scrape his pads. and he loves showing off the scratch marks from his pads. it's a great beginning scooter for a tot.

Wii Nunchuk Controller
The Wii Nunchuk controller is a secondary controller that adds even more innovation to the next generation of gaming, and does it all with less physical movement.

Used in conjunction with the standard Wii remote, certain games need the Nunchuk controller for additional control options. Contoured perfectly to fit a player's hand,

The Wii Nunchuk (left) connects directly to the Wii remote. View larger.
the Nunchuk controller builds on the simplicity of the Wii Remote controller. The Nunchuk contains the same three-axis motion sensor found in the Wii Remote, but also includes an analog stick, and two buttons to help assist in character movement.

Many games will allow you to control your character's movement with the Nunchuk in your left hand, while your right hand is free to execute the action movements with the Wii Remote. For example, the Nunchuk is particularly useful for games like Wii Boxing. You can use the Nunchuk to punch with your weaker hand, while you use the Wii remote to punch and jab with your predominant hand.

Take the fun to the next level with two-handed control of your games. View larger.
In first-person shooters, the Nunchuk controller carries the burden of movement, freeing you to aim and fire using a more natural motion with the Wii Remote. In a football game, you can make your quarterback elusive with the Nunchuk controller while you search for an open receiver to throw to using the Wii Remote. Serious gamers may even want to use two Nunchuk controllers to gain a fierce competitive edge.

Because the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers are only relatively dependent on each other, players are free to hold them in whichever hand is most comfortable. Perfectly suitable for either right or left-hand use, the Wii Nunchuk controller grants accessibility not often seen in previous game controllers.

Also, the Nunchuk controller doesn't need its own power--it plugs into the Wii Remote controller when it's in use. So there's no need to worry about charging or replacing expensive batteries.

Adding a Nunchuk to your Wii system will definitely help you open the doors to the next level of gaming, and seriously step up performance. Just be careful not to knock out your significant other, or bruise the dog, severely, while using one, or two Nunchuk controllers.

Customer Review: What is this? A game?
I decided to buy this Wii Nunchuk because my son said he wanted one. It had a low price, so I went for it. When I got it, I noticed that the nunchuck is made of plastic and has this knob-like button thing on it that sticks out. The chain is made of plastic, and is way too long. Plus, you get only one side. I can't see how this could ever be of use in a fight. It's not balanced, there is nothing to hold when you go to hit somebody with it, and I don't think that plastic cable would hold up very long. It turns out that the plastic cable plugs into a Wii remote control. Still, it's a far cry from a real nunchuck. The remote is way out of balance with their nunchuck, and with that extra long cord, it's useless in a fight, or even for practice. I'd recommend going to a good martial arts store and getting a traditional pair made of wood with a good steel chain. I ended up letting my son use it as something to play with since I couldn't think of anything else to do with it. To my surprise, he likes it. The Wii somehow knows when he is shaking that thing, and that useless knob thingy actually becomes useful. So I figured I shouldn't be so hard on the product since kids can really have fun with it. From what I gather from my son, it adds value to the game and makes playing with the Wii more enjoyable. I found out that some games are better suited to this than they are to the remote control alone, and the action of this thing fits in smoothly with playing the game. My son told me that he thought the everybody with a Wii should get one. Go figure. So I'd have to say that the bottom line is that this is pretty useless for real martial arts, but is a "must have" item for playing some games. I decided to rate the thing based just on the game part, because for martial arts, I'd have to give it zero stars. My daughter says it doesn't deserve 5 stars because they should have included one with every remote, but I couldn't get either of the kids to name anything they don't like about it when using it.

Customer Review: Not quite as great as I thought it would be
Well, the big hype was about Wii being wireless...but only the guitar is wireless in this set, and the drums have the shortest cord! Also, there are apparently no compatible guitars at this time, which means you can never have 4 people play at once unless you know someone else with the whole set who can bring theirs (and I'm not even 100% sure that would work.) The music is the same as the others and the game is definitely a good time, but I just expected more.

Customer Review: Dr. Arthur C Huston Jr. DDS
As a "Son of a Buckeye" I have had the opportunity to observe the Ohio State Football program over the years. Jim Tressel brings a unique perspective to the idea of coaching. He is basically a farmer. His goal is to to grow his crop of student-athletes into successful and effective participants in modern society. His fertilizer is his personal philosophy which is well described in this book. If you wish to grow your own crop: your children, your business,or any other endeavor that you find yourself committed to, this book is a must read.
